Since launching in June 2024, Neath Port Talbot-based Mark Your Pitch has rapidly established itself as a trusted provider of robotic line marking and grass cutting service for sports clubs, schools and community organisations across the region.
Founded by Jonathan Davies following a career change from the education sector, the business has grown quickly through a combination of innovative technology, strong customer service and effective social media marketing. The use of robotic line marking equipment has enabled the business to deliver accurate, efficient and reliable services, helping it build a loyal customer base and secure regular repeat business.
As demand for its services increased, the business reached a point where existing capacity was limiting further growth. The company was regularly receiving requests for additional work and enquiries for grass-cutting services from existing customers but lacked the equipment needed to meet this demand.
To support its next phase of growth, Mark Your Pitch invested in a second robotic line marker and commercial grounds maintenance equipment with the help Tata Steel UK Growth Fund. This new investment has helped the company increase its operational capacity by servicing more locations, complete more work each week and expand into grounds maintenance services alongside its existing line marking offer.
The expansion allows the business to provide a more comprehensive service to sports clubs, schools and community facilities while creating opportunities to take on new customers across South Wales. It also supports plans to create a new full-time role and provides a platform for future recruitment as the business continues to grow.
By diversifying its services and increasing capacity, Mark Your Pitch is strengthening its position in the market while supporting local sporting organisations with high-quality pitch maintenance services that benefit communities throughout the region.
This project is supported by the UK Government through the Tata Steel UK Growth Fund.
