Aroy Dee Thai Food (ADTF) is transforming access to high‑quality Thai cuisine across Neath Port Talbot by taking their service directly to customers. Operating from a hygiene‑rated home kitchen and a converted mobile catering horsebox, ADTF brings fresh, authentic Thai food to village hubs such as rugby clubs, well-being centres, coffee shops, and local pubs without kitchen facilities.
ADTF’s unique selling point is simple: the customer doesn’t have to travel – the food comes to them. This model offers a safe, convenient alternative to evening trips to town centres, while also supporting community spaces by boosting footfall and social activity.
Through the Shared Prosperity Fund Start Up Grant, ADTF received hands‑on support from Neath Port Talbot Council’s Economic Development Team, helping the business launch successfully with expert guidance, funding, and ongoing advice.
Owner Andrew Curnow says:
“The support from Neath Port Talbot Council’s Economic Development Team has been exceptional. Their advice, encouragement, and genuine commitment to helping me succeed made a huge difference. Aroy Dee Thai Food can now further develop thanks to the outstanding support given by the NPT team.”
Now a recognised community asset, ADTF continues to grow by building strong relationships within local communities and expanding its reach across Neath Port Talbot.
This project is part-funded by the UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
