We’re excited to spotlight the incredible community benefit work taking place alongside the construction of a brand-new kitchen and dining block at Coedffranc Primary School in Skewen!
This project is not just transforming the school’s facilities — it’s making a lasting impact on the wider community including:
– 149 weeks of targeted recruitment and training
– 10 job opportunities including apprenticeships and work experience
– Support for 19 local businesses
– Educational initiatives, school engagement, and community donations
From sponsoring Skewen RFC U12s, to hosting Macmillan coffee mornings, donating equipment to groups like Bspoked Enterprises, Hwb Lles Pontardawe, and Cwmavon Library, and even gifting a new PTA shed to the school – the impact has been wide-reaching and heartfelt.
This incredible project was made possible thanks to the partnership between Joan Tamlyn from John Weaver Contractors Ltd and Karen Todd, our dedicated Community Benefits Officer in the NPT Business team.
Together, they ensured the build delivered real value to the local community – far beyond construction.
