Crymlyn Burrows Waste Management Facilities Development

We are proud to work in partnership with Morganstone and share the social value delivered on Neath Port Talbot Council’s Crymlyn Burrows Waste Management Facilities development supported by our Community Benefits Officer.

At NPTCBC we are committed to ensuring that our procurement creates a real difference in our communities.

Social value refers to the benefits created for people, communities and the environment, such as improving well-being, supporting local businesses, creating jobs or protecting the environment.

Here’s what we all achieved together:

A £2,000 donation to the GV70.tri Aberavon Race Event, which has funded vital local causes and supported community groups across Neath Port Talbot.

£1,000 support for the Neath Port Talbots Young Parenting Group, this has helped towards payment for their room hire.  The group helps new young parents combat isolation and poverty

Financial donation to the local women’s rounders team, The Lions, to purchase new team tops.

An investment of £7,350 to transform Ty Santes into a welcoming hub, the support included:

  • New Shipping Container – Insulated and lined for safe storage
  • Sensory Garden Materials – £1,500 voucher for topsoil, slabs for wheelchair-friendly paths, and raised beds
  • Community Art – £500 to commission a local mural by AnnMarie from Artisann Wales.

And lastly a financial donation
of £2500 to Me, Myself and I Community Hub, based in Briton Ferry, who provide much-needed Dementia support service’s within the local community.
