At Neath Port Talbot council, we work with a number of external providers to support businesses across all sectors, to cultivate a dynamic, innovative, greener, and versatile economy.

Alongside our business support services, we have generated longstanding partnerships with a number of external support systems. By leveraging on the expertise and capabilities of these partnerships, businesses can gain overcome obstacles, and achieve sustainable growth.

External Partnerships and Business Support Services in NPT

Our external partners offer a diverse range of services and support that can provide critical insight and support for Welsh businesses.

Business Wales

  • Business Wales provides practical guidance and support for Welsh businesses, with guidance available ranging from business grants and finance to employment and workforce skill development. If you are thinking of starting a business, in conjunction with NPT new business support,  we can provide help with your first steps.

Prime Cymru

  • Provide free support to mature individuals within Wales to aid employment, development of skills and new business set up in Wales. Prime Cymru can provide employment, volunteering and training opportunities to people aged 50+.

Prince’s Trust

  • The Prince’s Trust provides free support to develop the skills and confidence you need to find a job or start a business. The support available offers courses, enterprise initiatives, mentoring opportunities and much more for 16- to 30-year-olds across Wales.

Development Bank of Wales

  • The Development Bank of Wales offers business loans, equity finance and reliable research on the Welsh economy to provide invaluable insight for your business.

Pen-y-Cymoedd Wind Farm

  • Pen-y-Cymoedd wind farm is a community fund established for the benefit of the communities hosting the wind farm in Neath, Afan, Rhondda and Cynon Valleys. The fund has an annual budget of £1.8 million and offers an amazing opportunity for local people to invest in themselves and their people.

Cwmpas

  • Cwmpass work to create positive change happen, working in cooperation with people and organisation to act for social good. Their friendly team of advisors can offer expert help and support across a wide range of areas.
